GEMSTONES : GARUDA PURANA AND GEMSTONES - II
As we have already seen in the previous article that with the touch of Lord Vishu's foot, Bali's earthly body converted into various Gemstones and fell on different landmasses, sea, and mountains. According to Garuda Purana, these gemstones bring unbelievable results to the wearer. Lets discuss more about these gemstones in the following article.
1 Vajra/ Heera /Diamond: As we know that, Diamond originated from the pieces of Bali's brain according to Garuda Purana. Diamond is a stone of planet Venus. Diamonds are available in so many colors like purple, brown, green, pink, yellow, white and black. These colored diamonds depict the impurities of Bali's brain . A pure diamond is the one which contains very less impurities and often is transparent. In Garuda Purana its also said that diamonds with cracks are not favorable to be used as a gemstone as they bring bad luck and misfortunes to the one who wears them.
Diamond is the main stone from Navratna and is a stone of Venus hence its said that it should be worn on any Friday. Diamond is especially beneficial in the silver ring and can be also worn in the platinum ring but it should never in worn with gold or other metals. Diamond remains effective for about seven years. If the diamond is worn during Bharani, Purva Phalguni or Purva Sharh Nakshatra, then it gives unbelievable results.
2. Mukta - Moti or Pearl: Perals are believed to be originated from the mind or Manas of Raja Bali.
Moti is the stone for planet moon and it can be worn by anyone without giving any second thought. It always gives the positive results only. Monday is considered as the best day to wear Pearl and should be worn in silver ring only during Shukla Paksha.
3. PadmaRaag or Ruby: Ruby is believed to be originated from the Heart of Bali, hence its in red or pink color. There are various factors which decided the quality of rubies like transparency, luster, cracks etc. Ruby is called the king of gemstone.
Its said that ruby with flaws brings adverse side effects to the wearer like depression, anxiety, loss of money and misfortunes while a good flaw less ruby can bring tremendous benefits to the wearer. Rubies are mined in India, Sir Lanka, Brazil, Burma and the United States. Ruby also belongs to Navratna category and is the stone of astrological body Sun.
4. PushpraagMani – Yellow Sapphire: PushpraagMani or Pukraj originated from the flesh of King Bali. It is extremely expensive, rare and enchanting gem. Yellow Sapphire is a gemstone of planet Jupiter. The gemstone yellow sapphire eradicates lethargy, heaviness, improves liver disorders. According to Garuda Purana, Yellow Sapphire also resolves the problems of marriage like delay in marriage, problems in marriage and other obstacles.
5. Indraneel Mani or Blue Sapphire: Blue Sapphires originated from the eye of King Bali. Blue sapphire has both positive and negative effects depending upon the Horoscope of a person. This gemstone is a stone of planet Saturn and should be worn on Saturday. It is mostly recommended to wear it on the middle finger of your right hand. Sapphires can be worn in gold, silver or Panchdhatu.
6. Vaidooryam Mani or Cats Eye This gemstone originated from the Yagyopavit (sacred thread) of Bali. This stone is available in various colors like white, brown, black, lime and appears with a light effect of cat’s eye. It is said to be worn to please the shadow planet Ketu. It can be worn on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday. On any of these following days, during the darker phase of a month in evening is the most auspicious moment for wearing Cat’s eye. Cat’s eye is beneficial only if its worn in silver or an alloy of five metals. It remains effective for about three years.
7. Markat Mani or Emerald: Emerald originated from the nervous system of demon king Bali. Emerald is basically found in green color.Emerald is the stone of Planet Mercury and should be worn on Wednesday. It should be worn in gold or silver but if the wearing of it in bronze or an alloy of two metal gives best and quick results. If it is worn during Ashlesha, Jyeshtha or Revati Nakshatras on Wednesday after proper worship at about 11 a.m., it proves especially beneficial. Emerald should be worn on the little finger of the right hand.
